My name is Kara Roberts and I am a freelance writer and editor.

I took a meandering path from Creative Writing at San Francisco State University to Psychology and Anthropology BA degrees at University of California, Berkeley and even to two MA degrees (Religious Studies and International & Intercultural Communications) at University of Denver.

I have worked as an academic editor (Journal for Cultural and Religious Theory, Religious Theory, Esthesis, and The New Polis), a global health journalist (The Borgen Project), and an SEO/content writer.

I have written a literary novel, am working on my second novel, and, along with my accomplished father, have launched an online magazine (The Abstract Elephant Magazine).
